The first day will be the longest leg of the trip from the Gold Coast to Wide Bay Bar. From there, a slow trip north is planned coupling many great destinations subject to weather and your safety.
UPDATE POST EVENT: We asked some of those who came to inspect the 64 of their thoughts when they were shown around Riviera’s latest edition to the long range cruising family.
The vessel is currently south of Queensland available for inspection to other Riviera enthusiasts before being shipped to the USA.
Last week Todd from RMC Service Centre was stationed at a Sovereign Island residence where he performed another successful install of Permateek on a Riviera 42 Open Flybridge. In this particular instance the owner had been unable to bring the vessel to Runaway Bay Marina for the work to be undertaken, so RMC Service Centre have gone to him.
A full scale mockup of the 64 was built. “We don’t believe in just reviewing a new model on a computer screen and hoping the design works. You might be able to get 90 per cent right doing it that way but the final 10 percent that really makes a difference to the final boat comes from going the extra mile – and that’s the Riviera difference.
“We never accept second best.”
